SRP, NextEra unveil state's largest $60 million grid-connected solar and battery plant

Salt River Project and NextEra Energy Resources LLC today announced the opening of the state's largest grid-connected, utility-scale solar energy center paired with a battery storage system. The 20-megawatt solar photovoltaic generation facility will generate enough solar energy to power 5,000 homes. The project will also store excess energy in a state-of-the-art 10-megawatt lithium-ion battery storage system.
