Jaxport will offer direct service for vehicle cargo to New Zealand and Australia beginning in March. Höegh Jeddah, a vessel capable of carrying 6,500 cars, will leave from Blount Island Marine Terminal once a month and travel to Auckland, New Zealand and Brisbane, Port Kembla, Melbourne and Fremantle in Australia. The vessel will be served by Jacksonville-based Horizon Terminal Services. Höegh Autoliners, which operates 60 ocean carriers worldwide, will operate the vessel from its U.S. headquarters...
