Slate Creek Elementary picked up a national award, for the second time, this month. Active Schools, a national movement to increase physical education and physical activity in schools, announced its 2017 National Award recipients this week.Slate Creek was one of 452 schools nationwide, representing 37 states plus the District of Columbia, recognized for efforts to create an active school environment.
