Brain injury survivor Lauren Fender will lead the way on a walk and run to help raise brain-injury awareness. While still healing, she will be able to participate in the upcoming 5K after losing the ability to breathe, walk and talk on her own in a car accident June 3, 2012.Fender, of Plymouth, was a passenger in the car when they hit a telephone pole, hitting her in the head and fracturing her skull in 17 different places.Today she volunteers to help raise awareness of brain...
