Tyler Clifford - Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed Detroit-based attorney Christopher Blount to the 36th District Court in Detroit. He replaces Judge Wanda Evans who vacated the seat after being elected to the 3rd Circuit Court in Michigan last November. Blount was a candidate for one of two vacant seats on the same court in the 2016 election, receiving 24 percent of the vote. Blount has been a solo practitioner since 2007 and handles criminal misdemeanor and felony defense cases in the 36th District Court. He
