Gladewater ISD trustees voted unanimously to name former Superintendent Mike Morrison as the district’s interim superintendent, filling in for the job as J.P. Richardson joins Tatum ISD. Morrison’s salary is still being negotiated, School Board President Jon Keller said. Keller said the district hopes to start Morrison in his interim role on Tuesday. Morrison retired from Gladewater ISD in 2008 and was succeeded by Richardson. Richardson officially began as the new Tatum ISD superintendent on Monday. This story will be updated.
