WASHINGTON – It was a tension-filled 24-hour scramble in the Texas delegation in the lead up to the latest vote on disaster relief spending, as Gov. Greg Abbott entered the fray in the effort to secure more funds to help the state rebuild from Hurricane Harvey. The bill, overwhelmingly passed the U.S. House on Thursday afternoon in a 353-69 vote.
