The University of Texas System has named Dr. Marshall Hicks as the interim president of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Hicks will replace Dr. Ronald DePinho, who is stepping down as president of M.D. Anderson on March 20. DePinho made the decision to resign following ongoing financial issues with M.D. Anderson that resulted in roughly 1,000 layoffs.
