Mesa Air reports profit during first quarter after going public

Mesa Air Group Inc. (Nasdaq: MESA) released its first earnings report as a public company this week, to mixed reaction from Wall Street. The Phoenix-based company, which operates low-cost regional air carrier Mesa Airlines, posted a fiscal fourth quarter net income of $19.4 million or 65 cents per share, which did better than most analysts expected.
