A man was killed early Wednesday after the driver of a box truck fell asleep at the wheel and drove up an embankment causing the truck to overturn on Highway 101 in San Jose, authorities said. The incident was reported just before 4 a.m. near the McKee Road on-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol. The passenger of the box truck was sleeping in the backseat of the extended cab of the truck when the crash happened, said Officer Ross Lee, a CHP spokesman.
