Tesla Inc. is discontinuing its lowest-price versions of the Model S and Model X on Monday, CEO Elon Musk said in a tweet late Wednesday. The soon-to-be-retired base model of each car comes with a 75kWh battery pack, good for a 239-mile range in the Model X and a 259-mile range in the Model S. Tesla plans to eliminate the 75kWh battery as an option in both cars. The base Model S currently costs $76,000 before incentives.
