Menlo Ventures raises $450M for its latest, oversubscribed fund

One of Sand Hill Road’s oldest venture capital firms this week said it’s closed its fourteenth fund, raising $450 million — the bulk of which will go toward early-stage companies. Menlo Ventures says it now has more than $5 billion under management. The firm’s partners plan to invest half of Menlo Ventures XIV, roughly $225 million, in startups raising seed-stage and Series A rounds.
