Google has reportedly acquired Superpod, a Palo Alto startup that shut down its question-and-answer mobile app in September. Axios cited unnamed sources who said the unit of Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) paid less than $60 million to buy some of the Palo Alto startup's assets and “acqui-hire” the founders, both of whom worked previously for Google. CEO Sophia Yang was a project manager on the Google Glass smart eyewear project and then an entrepreneur in residence at Social Capital before co-founding...
