APR Energy was presented with the Emergency Assistance Award Wednesday for its power delivery services in Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. The Edison Electric Institute gives out the annual award to recognize excellence in power restoration efforts. APR was contracted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Oct. 12 to deliver two, 25 megawatt gas turbines to generate enough power to serve approximately 300,000 people.
