Florida and Jacksonville race forward with solar power

Florida is doing more to earn its title as the Sunshine State, according to the Solar Energy Industry Association, which reported that Florida installed 213 megawatts of solar power last quarter, the second most in the country. In the same quarter last year, Florida installed just 25 megawatts. Florida's solar market has grown 179 percent year-over-year, according to SEIA, moving it up six rankings to the 8th largest solar state in the U.S. The state is forecasted to triple its current capacity...
