The winter storm system that hit the Islands over the weekend played havoc with infrastructure. According to Jim Kelly, Hawaiian Electric vice president, corporate relations, about 127,000 customers on Oahu experienced outages throughout the weekend, including a peak of 28,000 without service on Sunday afternoon.
