Two Charlotte nonprofits with a focus on combating homelessness in the Queen City are planning to merge later this year. Urban Ministry Center and Men's Shelter of Charlotte announced on Wednesday that they intend to combine resources into a single organization — an agreement approved late Tuesday by both group's boards of directors.
