A toddler was found alone near the LIRR tracks in Riverhead, police said, and the child's father was arrested. Celio Monroy-Huit, 48, of Riverhead, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, Riverhead police said. A passing driver saw the child on the LIRR right of way and alerted police, officials said. Officers rescued the child, who was returned to the mother. Police determined the child had been under the supervision of the father when the toddler left the home. It wasn't immediately clear whether Monroy-Huit had an attorney.Photo Credit: NBC 4 New York
