Shelby County announced Monday, Dec. 17, that one of the major ratings services had affirmed its AA+ bond rating — something that could keep its future borrowing costs low. Fitch Ratings, one of the premier ratings agencies, has given Shelby County an AA+, according to a Shelby County news release.
