Houston-based Bristow Group Inc. (NYSE: BRS) and Oregon-based Columbia Helicopters Inc. have called off their $560 million deal, according to a Feb. 11 press release. The companies mutually agreed to terminate the deal, in which Bristow would have acquired Columbia, and Bristow has paid a $20 million breakup fee to Columbia, per the release. “The decision to enter into a mutual termination of the purchase agreement was based on a number of developments following the entry into the agreement,...
