Sysco, one of Houston’s largest public companies, to cut jobs in 2019

Houston-based Sysco Corp. (NYSE: SYY), the largest food distributor in the U.S., plans to cut some finance-related jobs next year. The number of jobs to be cut was not disclosed, but most of the affected positions in Houston will be at Sysco's shared services center in Cypress, the Houston Chronicle reports. That location houses some of Sysco’s administrative business functions, such as accounting, customer support and payroll. However, Sysco also plans to add other jobs at the Cypress location...
